Hi! I’m Jeff Shaw— a dad, coach, and lifelong mover doing my best to age well and stay active in every season of life.
I’ve always been active. I was a three-sport athlete growing up and, after college, I worked as a personal trainer and massage therapist for five years. I loved helping people move and feel better — but I also had a craving for adventure. That’s what took me to the Florida Keys, where I became a professional scuba diver. Eventually, that passion brought me to Mexico, where I started my first business: a diving and tourism company.
I ran that business for six years. It was a great ride — full of learning, growth, and challenge. But like many first-time entrepreneurs, I struggled and eventually had to shut it down. That led me to take an office job, and it was a real wake-up call. Sitting all day, fluorescent lights, cafeteria food… I saw firsthand how unhealthy that environment can be, and how many people live that lifestyle every day.
I turned my desk into a standing desk. I used my 30-minute lunch breaks to sneak in workouts on the roof and slammed protein shakes at my desk instead of eating processed food in the cafeteria. People gave me weird looks at first, but soon they started asking questions — about workouts, nutrition, and how to feel better. That’s when I realized how much I missed helping people with their health and fitness.
When the pandemic hit, the company cut salaries and eventually downsized. I needed to pivot — and I knew exactly where I wanted to go. I started coaching again. At first, it was just one client. Then they told a friend. Then they told more friends. Before long, I had a full schedule and had to start coaching people online just to keep up.
That’s how Longevity 360 was born. A mix of all the things I’ve learned along the way — as an athlete, coach, business owner, adventurer, and dad — and a reflection of what I believe: health is a lifelong journey, and every season matters.
